As urban populations continue to grow and rural populations decline, many people have lost touch with the farm and aren’t aware of the ways in which farming and food production have changed over the years.
This has resulted in many misconceptions about farm animal welfare and the way that farmers care for their animals.
Farm Animal Councils across the country are committed to providing a source of timely, credible information about farm animal care and food production.
This site was developed and is maintained by the Farm Animal Council branches of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario to provide information and a forum for discussion about responsible animal agriculture.
Use Lets Talk Farm Animals to learn more about the issues that matter, both to you as a consumer and to the farmers who produce your food.
